What Happens in an Animal Healing and Communication Session?

You know your animal well. You notice their little habits, the things they enjoy and when something doesn’t seem quite right. But sometimes you wish you could simply ask, “How are you feeling?” or “What would help you?” That’s often what brings people to me for an animal healing and communication session. You don’t need to know how it all works before you book. You might have specific questions, or you might just want to understand your animal a little better. Either is a lovely place to start. Giving animals a voice is at the heart of my work. I also want you to feel comfortable, so here’s what you can expect when you book a session with me.

Choosing a session that suits you

I offer three ways to work with you and your animal:

  • In-person sessions, where I visit you and your animal at your yard or in your own home.
  • Remote video sessions, where we talk together while I connect with your animal.
  • Photograph readings, where I connect remotely and send you a written report afterwards.

For my intuitive way of working, your animal doesn’t need to be in the same room as me. You can choose the option that best suits you, your location and whether you’d prefer a conversation or something written to read in your own time. Video sessions are recorded, and I send you a link to the recording afterwards, available to download for seven days. When booking, please choose the appropriate number of animals. A session booked for one animal is for that animal only.

What would you like to ask your animal?

Before the session, you’ll have an opportunity to tell me what has been happening and share your questions.Perhaps your dog seems unsettled when you leave the house. Your horse’s behaviour has changed, or your cat is adjusting to a new arrival. Sometimes there isn’t a particular concern. You simply want to know whether your animal is happy and if there’s anything they would like you to understand. You don’t need to come up with the “right” questions. Tell me what’s on your mind, and we can begin there.

Connecting and listening

I begin by taking a quiet moment to settle myself and connect with your animal. The way I experience animal communication is intuitive. Impressions may come through as feelings, images, words or sensations, which I then put into words for you. These are my interpretations of what I receive, and we can explore how they relate to the animal you know. This is one of the things I love about my work: every animal brings their own personality to a session. Some seem keen to get straight to the point. Others feel quieter and need a gentler approach. And sometimes it’s the little everyday things that come through, such as a favourite activity or a preference about their routine.I allow time for your questions while also making space for anything else that comes through. I follow your animal’s lead, without trying to force a particular message.

Where does animal healing come in?

Alongside communication, I hold space for healing, with the intention of supporting relaxation and emotional wellbeing. Respecting your animal’s choice is important to me. During an in-person session, they don’t have to stay still, be touched or behave in a particular way. I pay attention to their responses and allow them space.Animal healing and communication complements veterinary care. It cannot diagnose illness or tell us whether an animal is free from pain. If you’re concerned about physical symptoms or a change in behaviour, please speak to your vet.

Sharing the session with you

During an in-person or video session, we can talk about what comes through as we go along. You have time to ask questions, share what makes sense to you and explore anything you’d like to understand further. With a photograph reading, I bring everything together in a written report for you to read in your own time.We may discuss practical ways to support your animal, such as giving them more quiet time, looking at their routine or spending time together without an activity planned.I want you to leave with something you can reflect on and use in your everyday relationship with your animal.

What happens afterwards?

There’s no set response to a session, and I don’t promise a particular change. Some clients tell me their animal seems more settled afterwards. Others find that the biggest difference is in their own understanding: they feel less unsure and more able to recognise what their animal might need. Give yourselves time afterwards. Notice how your animal behaves and what feels helpful, without expecting everything to change overnight. Sometimes, making a little more room to enjoy being together is a valuable place to begin.

Is an animal healing and communication session right for you?

People come to me for many reasons, including adjusting to a new home, welcoming a family member, supporting an older animal or exploring changes in their relationship. You can also book simply because you’re curious. There doesn’t have to be a problem for you to want a closer connection with your animal. My role is to listen, share what I receive and support that connection with care.If you’d like to work with me, you can explore my animal healing and communication sessions and book here. And if you’re unsure which session to choose, you’re welcome to get in touch. I’m happy to help you find the option that suits you and your animal.
