Integrative Bodywork and Massage Techniques:

Myofascial Release: A bodymind therapeutic healing approach that is safe, comprehensive, and effective in relieving pain, headaches, and restoring motion. Myofascial Release techniques are utilized to locate tender or hardened body areas, and assist in opening these areas to lasting healing. Energy Balancing: Based on the understanding that the body is a field of conscious energy and an instrument of healing, we work within the subtle energy chakra system. We balance our energies and we become relaxed and open to the infinite abundance of the life force within. I utilize simple hands-on healing touch, hands-off healing touch, breathing, visualization, sound, and meditation techniques in appropriate combination.

Shiatsu: Meaning “finger pressure”, it’s a Japanese version of Traditional Chinese Medicine acupressure practice. Shiatsu pressure point therapy and movement endeavors to move chi along the energy meridians of the body to achieve flow, balance, and healing.

Swedish Massage: One of the most common massage techniques practiced, it uses gliding, kneading, friction, and compression strokes. The pressure and depth are all practiced to the sensitivity of the client. A light gel or oil lubricant is utilized to support the process and enhance your skin.

Pre-Natal Massage: Specialized body support, positioning, and massage techniques are utilized to assist the mother-to-be in adapting to her body’s changes. I utilize body sculpting, body alignment, breath work, meditation, rhythmic passive movement, and stretching. Swedish, Shiatsu, Yoga, Myofascial Release, and Energy techniques are also included as appropriate.

Yoga: A yoga of compassion and consciousness. We utilize pranayama (breath), asanas (postures), and meditation techniques on a journey of self discovery and self acceptance. You are safely guided to engage the practice to your level and ability. There are no ideals to achieve. We seek to know and accept ourselves as we are, in the moment.
